Tool to Improve WIOA Referrals: Directory of Workforce Services

We are pleased to announce that a Directory of Workforce Services has been added to the Job Center of Wisconsin website. This directory provides information about the various employment and training programs and the services those programs offer. It also contains contact information for each program, by county. This critical resource will help us move towards the WIOA vision where we connect our clients to the right program, with the right service, at the right time, to meet their goals.

The Directory of Workforce Services allows you to use the knowledge you gained in An Introduction to WIOA training by providing contact information in one convenient place so you can facilitate appropriate referrals to other programs that may help your clients meet their goals.

Key features of the directory:

• Organized by the service a person may need. This will assist you in remembering what is available at the local level when thinking about how to assist clients meet their needs and goals.
• Contains a "Program Name/s" section, where we list common ways the service may also be named when highlighted in a statewide or nationally supported training or technical assistance.
• Information is timely. The information on this directory is expected to be reviewed at minimum quarterly by the local partners for updates. If you have updates, please contact your One Stop Operator.
